hair loss anyone????

I am now three months post op. I had a TAH in May 2005 and well ever since my hair seems to be falling out. Before my surgery i had one small patche that had fallen out but they grew back quickly. Now there are five patches the largest one is the size of a toonie. I am just woundering if this is happening to anyone else, and if so do you know why? I am only 28 and well i like having my hair. I kept my overies but wake up in the middle of the night sweating is this part of what is sopposed to happen? I do not think i am ready for all of this yet i am still trying to get used to how my body feels now. Can someone please tell me what they think is going on thanks.

hair loss anyone????

yes, my hair came out right after surgery. anesthesia seems to have that affect on me. i had to go and get it cut short just so no one would notice. i am african american so they thought it was just a cute hairstyle.

hair loss anyone????

Haven't noticed it yet this time but about twenty years ago when I had my gall bladder removed I lost a bunch of hair. I was told it was from the anethesia. My hair was permed at the time and went straight too.

From what I understand, you can loose your hair from the anestesia (SP), or you can lose your hair from the hormones or lack thereof. If it get's too bad make sure that you let your DR know. I still loose some while in the shower or while combing my hair, but, thank goodness, I haven't had any baldspots. I take my multivitamin and calcium pills and hopefully this will help.
