Cramping everyday

HI
I have been browsing this site for some time now. I was told a couple months ago that a hyst was in my future by a gyn specialist. I tried every minimally invasive procedure but no success. I had a novasure ablation however I still get 2 periods every month. My question is about cramping. Since May(the ablation was in Oct.) I experience terrible menstrual cramping every day even when I am not bleeding. Recently, my lower back started hurting too. Has anyone else had this happen?
Thanks-this site is a great comfort during this anxious time.

Cramping everyday

I had my hysterectomy for endometriosis and yes, I had terrible cramping all month long. I felt it in my lower back, vaginal/rectum area, and pelvic area, not just during my period. I have to say that since my hyst I haven't had any of this cramping! Knock on wood! I hope everything works out for you and you find relief. Best of wishes!

I know exactly how you feel. I am scheduled to have a TAH/BSO on Sept 7 due to adenomyosis and ovarian cysts. I cramp everyday and have mafor pelvic pain. My dr said my uterus is also enlarged, which is causing alot of pressure on the surrounding organs. I have been cramping and in alot of pain for 6 or 7 weeks. My dr said I will feel 100 percent better after the surgery. I can't wait!!!!!! NO PAIN!!!! I pray that you will get some relief and an uneventful and speedy recovery. Sending a virtual your way.

Hi Flannelsister
It is nice to hear from people who understand your situation. Even though I come from a big family and have tons of friends, no one has ever experienced a hysterectomy. No one quite understands the physical and mental toll it takes on your daily life. Best wishes on Sept. 7th-you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Cramping everyday

I was in so much pain that I could no longer function by the time my surgery date rolled around. I have my fingers crossed this is successful b/c I don't know if I can psychologically handle the daily pain again.

Cramping everyday

cramping, back pain, and pressure are also my reasons for having my tah. i have always had very painful periods and heavy, but no irregular bleeding. i know i had multiple adhesions (lap. done in april) but the pain never went away. i have horrible cramps at least a 7 or 8 out of 10. the only time i dont experience cramps is about a week after my period, then they come right back along with the pressure. i had an mri which just showed a prominent endometrium stripe. i had that biopsied, but i do have a question. about one and a half months after my lap is when i had the mri and it still showed free fluid in my cul-de-sac is this normal? can adenomyosis be missed by mri? i also have very painful intercourse. i guess after my surgery we will have all the answers i hope lol

yes, i have had cramping daily for over a month, I also had a ten day period in between, the cramps were less bad during that time. The cramps make me a bit short with everyone and bother me at night sometimes. I also have very tender breasts like when you are pregnant, but that is not possible. I have a laprascopic surgery on Sept 13th and am looking forward to it, as I can't bear life with cramps every day. I did get a doc prescribed pain pill that works well, except I get some side effects so I only take it when really needed.

yes adenomyosis can be missed by an mri, they are about 80percent accurate. i have daily cramping and had an mri that inly came up with a small fibroid. My doc thinks there are more as I have a history of fibroids. I am glad I have decided to continue with the surgery as the cramps are interrupting my life.

I have adenomyosis with alot of clots and bad, bad cramping during periods. I also cramp EVERYDAY! The cramping is so bad now during my periods I can hardly stand it. I have back pain about 3 weeks out of the month. I am very moody all the time because of it. My family needs a break from this as much as I do. Can't wait to fix this!
