Six month anniversary is today

Hi everyone,
I am six months out from surgery today and am feeling really well. I have been able to do pretty much anything that I want to do, although I still have a little trouble lifting and/or pulling heavy objects. I don't know if I have adhesions or a hernia (it has been bothering me a little more that last month) or what but will find out shortly when I go in for my 6 month check. I wish that I had had this surgery sooner! What a difference it has made in my life. I wish everyone the best in their recoveries. It does get better!!! (I still walk past the women's products aisle at the store with glee knowing that I will never need tampons, pads, etc. again. I still keep finding them in purses, pockets, etc.) Best wishes to everyone and to all of my March 2005 sisters. Elaine

[Congrats on getting there!

I'm now 14 months on, and feel better than I have in ages. Tonight I was emptying my wee car as I'm getting a new one tomorrow, and found a jacket in the boot - and on clearing the pockets found another towel.... they just keep showing up. I just laugh now.

Hold off the heavy lifting for as long as you can. I still twinge a bit - and it's a good excuse not too.
