Hi Everyone,
has any one had scars after their staples were removed?
I started using cocoa butter but i don't know if that will work.Any suggestions?

Staple scars

Hi

I figure the scars where the staples were are going to go away. They weren't deep wounds and they are fading. I have used Vitamin E as well as Flax oil on my scars.

Although my scar is still visible, there are no scars from the staples.

Scars From Staples

I've had other surgeries with staples. The staple marks have gone away pretty fast. They don't go too deep, so I guess they heal like a normal skin abrasion.

At 3 weeks mine are just little reddish scabs...pink spots underneath. I'm hopeful they will vanish like their predecessors.

fading away

I'm 7 weeks post-op today, and mine are fading. One or two are almost gone; the rest are noticeable but not that bad, just little light dots. All in all, I've healed pretty well. I haven't used anything on the incision site.
Take care!

Scars From Staples

I am 6 weeks post op as of yesterday and my staple marks are fading alittle. When in the hospital after my surgery a very sweet nurse told me to use vitamin e cream. She told me to gently rub it on my incision after the incision was healed. I put the cream on after every shower at night and gently wash the incision in the morning and apply more. She told me that the gentle rubbing of the site would help to make the hardness around the incision soften and the scars fade. So far this is working. Hope this helps you and the other sisters who have had surgery.
