Soreness in pubic bone area

Hi,
I am nearly 3 wks post op TAH/BSO doing quite well except that I have pain and soreness on the left hand side of my flesh that covers the pubic bone.
It is really tender and sore to touch the area on the right hand side is ok, just wondering if anyone else has had this problem I have had this since the surgery on 240805. Will it go on it's own ? should I alert my doctor ? or is this just the trauma of the surgery and will heal on it's own ?
It's uncomfortable wearing my underwear as the fabric obviously touches this delicate area.
I would welcome any comments from any Sisters who have had this problem,

Cheers, Elaine x

Soreness in pubic bone area

HI there,

I dont know if this is the same as you have or not. But since surgery I have had pain in the area. And its real puffy too. Looking at my hyster pictures of the tools they use to open you up its not wonder im sore there. Now at 3 wks 4 days the swelling is going down some and the pain a little better, but still not gone. Its very sensative down there for me.

Soreness in pubic bone area

I have soreness in that area also, but on the right side! I also found that anything touching that tender skin was bothersome. My soreness is finally getting better but I'm at 4 weeks post LSH. I think it just take our bodies time to heal. Blessings, Luv2sing

been there..literally

dear Sis, I am an OR nurse. I've assisted with GYN surgeries and can tell you that the instrumentation used during the procedure is likely the cause for your pain. Retraction of area necessary for good visualization, so blame it on one of those pesky retractors. Sometimes I wish I didn't know that intimate a detail with regard to the actual procedure!! Best of luck! I. too. have a very tender and bruised area at my pelvic bone; the good explained to me that he was trying to keep the incision site small, so that his assistant may have pulled too tightly for extended period at that spot. Sure is an eyeopener when YOU are the patient...yet more humbling experience to learn from and remember . :eyes:

Soreness in pubic bone area

Uma,
Many thanks for your imput, it's weird really as this area is ,apart from the incision site, the only pain I am experiencing if I didn't have this soreness and pain I would feel great.
I am not taking any pain med for this as my pain threshold is very high as with having Endometriosis I cannot really remember how my body felt without any pain.I will however take the pain med if I need to.

I wish you a pain free recovery and hope all goes well for you I send lots of gentle hugs ,

Best wishes , Elaine x
