Questions about hormone cream application

I have a lot of stupid questions about the hormone cream applications. Is there a thread that already exists about this subject?

I wanted to know some things like where to apply them and should I alternate and how long until getting dressed, showering, etc, etc. Thanks.

Questions about hormone cream application

Hi Carol!

You've been around the Hormone Jungle long enough to know there are no stupid questions. We're all still learning, so always feel free to ask!

There is an article about where to apply creams, and it does mention timing, too! You can find it in the Hormone Article List. It's article #46. Or, just click this link.

I still use compounded progesterone and compounded testosterone creams. I usually apply them after showering. If I have to apply them prior to my shower, I do so at least 30 minutes before showering. Mine absorb very quickly so I'm ready to get dressed right after rubbing them in gently. I do alternate sites but some women don't. You'll figure out by trial and error what works for you.

I hope this helps!

Questions about hormone cream application

Carol,
I've used the compounded hormone creams for close to six years now. I've been most successful applying to my inner thighs. I apply after I shower and get dressed probably within 15 minutes or so. Give or take a few minutes, depends on how long it takes me to finish making myself pretty. My creams do absorb rapidly, I've not had any problems with them rubbing off on my clothes.

Good luck with the creams! You may need to experiment to find the place of application that is going to work out best for you.
