What was the worst part of your recovery?

A trip back to the ER the day after I came home from the hospital-chills and fever of 102. Urinary Tract Infection. The gas pains were pretty bad, too.

Good things-I only had to take medication twice after returning home. I'm 12 days post op. My family has waited on me hand and foot!

Gas is a pain...but try brain surgery...gas is nothing then!

Not being able to lift and cuddle my disabled daughter
Being nagged by anyone who knows I had surgery not to overdo it
People forgetting I had surgery and expecting too much/or not asking how I am
Not being able to do the stuff I used to do
Just finding out 5 mins ago that my vaginal infection hasn't gone and that I need more antibiotics

Going poop and coughing. ouch!!!!

The worse for me was the left arm/shoulder pain - which they tell me is referred gas pain -- I couldn't sleep decently for a long time without pain meds. The gas would be the 2nd.

Did anyone else suffer muscle aches in their arms?

I am at 5 weeks tomorrow and I feel great now, the terrible gas is gone. Flax seed has become a staple. No longer am in any pain except tail bone if I still too long. I am still pretty drained and that is the major complaint. We are flying to Chicago tomorrow and I am looking forward to a bit of cool temps.I also did not miss my monthly visitor but have to admit in walgreens saw a young girl looking at tampons and I got abit of a sad feeling, it did not last long I am looking forward to resume our sex life but scared to if that makes sense, think 5 weeks I go see the Doctor next week would be pushing?? I have had no bleeding since the surgery..thanks..hug

This you won't believe.....

The night after I got home from the hospital, I woke up at 2:00 a.m. with unbelieveable kidney pain. Turns out, I passed another kidney stone! (I had stones one other time). The kidney pain was worse than my surgery pain, if you can believe that!

Is that bad karma or what????? Like I'm not in enough pain already??? When it rains, it POURS!!
