HELP - Frustrated, confused, & don't know what's happening.

I'm 12+ weeks post-op and I thought I was recovering nicely. I, of course had the usual pain, problems with intestines, and a little crying and insominia. But everyday I felt better, doing more and hurting less UNTIL about 3 weeks ago. Now I'm having stabbing mid-back pain, I'm exhausted, and I'm constantly getting minor pelvic pain twinges. I went to my Dr and they found blood in my urine, but no reason for it to be there. They also saw a big cyst on my right ovary and a little granulation on the vaginal cuff. But according to my doctor none of these things should be causing my pain, exhaustion and blood.
They told me to come back in a month!
I don't know if I should be worried or if this is just all part of the healing process?
HAS ANYONE HAD A SIMILIAR EXPERIENCE?
I feel like I don't know what is going on in my body and why I'm feeling this way? It's really, really frustrating.

I am sorry you are having these problems when you were doing so well.

What did the dr say about the blood in the urine? Did you have tests run to see if you have a bladder or kidney infection?

I would keep in touch with the dr and look for some answers on what is causing this pain and exhaustion.

I started feeling a lot better at 12 weeks. You should not be having pain and if this dr is not helping you then you might consider looking for a dr who will be more helpful. Was this your gyn? Maybe your family dr would be of some help.

Hoping you find some answers and relief.

HELP - Frustrated, confused, & don't know what's happening.

I too have lower left side back pain and i am told that there should be no reason for the pain ( had overies, tubes, and 2 very large baseball size cyst's removed) I dont have any bleeding but at the end of each day i have this horrible bloating (appear to look 9 months preg) and feel so uncomfortable. (not sure if its normal) my doctor says its gas but i dont think so.( not at 8 weeks?? ) I have my good days and my bad days still. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the post. I saw both my gyn and my family doc. My gyn didn't seem worried. My family doc did do a CT scan and my bladder and kidneys appeared unremarkable. So I guess I shouldn't worry, but I swear it looks like someone poured a dark beer in the loo when I go.
I can't help wondering if they are missing something. The mid-back pain is intermittent, and brief but extreme when it happens. I expected some discomfort but I thought I'd be alot better by now. It's just so frustrating to not know why things are happening. I just want to feel better and get on with my life. I 'm sick of doctor's appointments! Guess I'm starting to rant a little now. I could sure use a little advise or insight on this, if anyone has some.

Are you drinking plenty of water? Just a thought. I do hope you find an answer.

urologist

I think this may be something that your gyn or gp may not be equipped to handle. Maybe, you should see a urologist and figure this out once and for all!

Love and blessings,

HELP - Frustrated, confused, & don't know what's happening.

I had my TVH done on 8-10-05 and I still feel so bloated at the end of each day. I am a 24 hr in home daycare lady and for the last 6 weeks my husband is the one whos been running the day care, (yep diapers and all) I am not lifting yet, 6 week checkup is this tuesday. My question is this: why am i still so bloated? why do i get so crumpy around 3 pm every day? why do i feel like i have something "poking" me from my c-section site? I dont have overies, they took every thing. Why does food taste diffrent? I am so confused on whats normal healing and whats not. Why dont they give you a step by step book on what your body is doin while its healing (ya know like the photos you see each month on what your baby looks like at what month) Why cant i sleep at night? ( tired of taking a tylenol pm just so that i can sleep) can any one help me to understand? My doctor is always in a rush and i never get to ask anything. this is why i am so grateful to this web site. my sister gave me the book (hyster sisters) and i loved it so much that i went to this web site. I would just like to say thanks to every one, in some way some one has helped me.

Dear hulahoop:

Dark urine could be an indication of kidney, bladder or liver not functioning properly, and this could make you feel fatigued & could indicate serious problems. Did you have urine AND blood tests??

I hope you are feeling better soon. I am sending huge cyberhugs

You need a so I sent you one. Blood in your urine is not normal, its an indication that something is wrong, please please pursue this, & find out whats going on. Request to see a specialist, or see another doctor, one who will take this seriously, just because the scan showed bladder & kidneys were unremarkable, doesn't mean everything is ok.

Pixiestix,

I also would like to know what is up with not being able to sleep? I'm a night owl by nature, but this is ridiculous! Also having restless legs, arms, and neck. Then again, I have two herniated discs in my neck so that's probably not helping.
