A little sex 'slip up' - I'm scared and so cross with myself!

OK, sorry for the TMI factor ladies(again...????) but I'm very scared because I'm not quite six weeks post op yet (that's tomorrow) and I'm far far too embarrassed to contact my surgeon and tell him about the motel room and the champagne and - oh dear......... I'd been feeling so well, and how do you 'forget' not to have sex for heaven's sake?? Now I have this persistent dull pain on the lower right side of my abdomen. I was however sitting in a car for over five hours x 2 over the weekend, as we had a very special family occasion to attend, and I noticed the pain during the trip - before our little incident. Anyway, somebody out there please - I can't be the only one who has ever done something as dumb as this, can I? There's been no bleeding or anything like that - I would have called the surgeon and fessed up if that happened. Any clues on what the pain might be - like one of the ligaments that they attach to prevent vag prolapse, or the right ovary being a bit disturbed maybe? I see my surgeon on Thursday - will he be able to tell?

Ooops! Although I'm not in your situation, I can think I can relate - that is one of my fears - infact I've had dreams that I had sex too soon! I think you should contact your doctor just to be safe. Don't be embarassed - I'm sure he's hear it before, they hear all types of things. Everything is fine I'm sure - you are so close to 6 weeks. The pain is probably just a combination of the driving and overdoing it a little. If it is not too bad you might be able to wait until your doct. appt. on Thursday - its up to you. But don't be embarrassed!

I just thought I would reasure you, several ladies posted that when they went in for their 6 week check that the doc actually asked if they had had sex yet. Make sure to rest and if the pain doesn't go away you should call. I had a TVH and would have been cleared last week, BUT I have a granulation that has to be treated, sigh! GL get some rest and feel better. Angela

Any *new* pain needs to be reported to your doctor. It doesn't matter whether it was caused by the long car ride or by having sex too early...if you're hurting you need to call the doctor. He'll be able to tell if there's something going on in there.

You are not the only one--I had an "accident" at almost 3 weeks. I was so angry at myslef---hummm but I must say I did enjoy it when it was happening. Went for 4 week post op and doctor checked me didnt say anything. I would say just watch yourself if you have heavy bleeding or any fever talk with doctor. Many doctors release people for sex before 6 weeks so I would think you are ok.

Dont feel bad---you did much better than me!!

It doesn't matter how many weeks post op you are. You are in pain and you need to let your doctor know.

Don't feel bad, your gyno... "I'm sure......
............ has heard of this happen in his career.

I would call his "nurse" explain what happened " all of it" and discuse the pain and what "level" it's on.

I'm sure they can give you piece of mind by words or seeing you.

'm experimenting with "touchie sex" and it's been nice, but I can see how it might happen with the right mood, and moment.

I hope you'll call.

I can relate to having dreams about having sex too soon. I'd be so nervous at bedtime thinking I might be out of it and sleepy and not know what I was doing. I would scoot all the way to the edge of the bed to avoid contact with dh. Seems funny now, but I was terrified, I know how weak I can be!

Just over 6 weeks post op - and hey, I should be so lucky.

Anyone seen my libido?!!!!!!! !!

But seriously, I agree that any pain should be reported to Dr.

Take care.
