Hi ladies. I'm probably worrying for nothing, but I'd stopped bleeding by Wed (after my Friday surgery) but then started again Thur a.m. and am still "spotting". Not much, maybe a quarter-sized amount in 8 hours. I was so lucky, had absolutely no pain and have taken nothing but Motrin since day of surgery. On the downside, I feel so good I've probably been overdoing it. I'm normally a very active person and it is so hard to take it easy. Should I be concerned about the bleeding or just relax for the rest of the w/e and see what happens? I'm worrying that I've strained too much and have pulled stiches loose or somethin. TIA for any help/advice!
i had bleeding/spotting for the first few days, and then it stopped, and then started a few days later. i think that is normal. i also had a very easy recovry. i am now almost 8 weeks post op and starting about 3 weeks post op i could hardly tell i had it done. but take it easy and listen to your body. like everyone here says you only have 1 time to heal properly. good luck.
I had a TVH and the dr told me that I may spot for up to 6 weeks. I stopped spotting at about 2 weeks and then it started again in week 3 after I increased my activities. I took it easy for a couple of days and it stopped. As long as it's not gushing and filling pads it really shouldn't be anything to worry about.
I had quite a bit of bleeding until the cath came out this past Monday. On Tuesday, I was able to start using pantyliners instead of pads. I have noticed that when I do more, I bleed more. I'm pretty sure your slight spotting is normal & that you can expect it on & off for at least 6 weeks (at least according to Dr).
