how are the 10 monthers out there?

Hi there!

I had a TAH done this past December 14th. It seems like only yesterday I was a nervous wreck about going in for surgery. But, here I am 10 months later and not missing "aunt flo" at all I am still not fully recovered. My doctor keeps reminding me that it takes a full year. I still have swelly belly which seems to be worse in the evenings, am still moody, am still having cold flashes. Hopefully, this will go away given more time.

I have had another problem crop up since my TAH. My recovery was going along as per the other sisters on the boards up until Easter. Then I had my first gallbladder attack. I had that removed not 2 weeks ago (September 16th), and I must say, I feel a lot better. I ran into a few ladies that have also had to have thier gallbladders removed after a hysterectomy. It kind of makes me wonder...
On the upside, I have lost 41 pounds as a result...not exactly a healthy way to lose weight, but at least it's gone.

How are all you other 10 monthers doing? Please keep in touch.

s
Belinda

11 monthers

Yes, I still have swelly belly as well. Not so moody since I raised my estradiol patch to 1.5. Yes, there are days I forget that i had surgery last year, but I am not the same woman. I attribute it to age (51) but the body is not the same
