Awful Pain!!!

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if any other sisters have experienced what i am experiencing now...
I woke up this morning and could tell that the cysts on
my ovaries have gotten larger(pressure/pain),tried to have a bowel movement (dont mean to gross u out), and the pain from my cysts hurt way to bad...now i can barely walk from having so much pain...needless to say that when i try to sit i hurt even worse.I called my gyn and the receptionist was rude and said that because he closes early today she was not scheduling anyone else...I do not have hemroids...does anyone have any solutions to help ease discomfort? Bernice

Bernice -

First of all big to you!! Haven't talked to you in awhile. Second of all - I think you need to see your doc. It's possible that your cysts could have ruptured. You need to call back & insist that they see you right away. Please keep us posted on how your doing.

I say call your doc too, you don't want to take any OTCs this close to your date unless directed by your doc.

Awful Pain!!!

Fridays Rock,
Thabk you for your advice...I did try to get in w/DR for 2nd x ...can't get past receptionist...I think she is wanting to leave exactly when they close at 2pm...I was told that is pain persisted to go to ER or an immediate care center...Do not think that if I am feeling better on Monday that I won't go to office in person and demand to speak with either the DR or office manager.

Awful Pain!!!

I think Fridays Rock is right. Sounds to me as one who has had many many ruptured cysts, it sure seems like it could be. My cysts never hurt as much before they burst. Its normally just constant and extremely annoying. But I had a complex cyst rupture and that was when the pain got worse, way worse. I would try to get hold of the doctor and at least let him know what is going on. The receptionist is just ridiculous!
Hope you feel better. Get some rest.

Awful Pain!!!

I've had 3 ruptured cysts since May. They are so painful! I was told that I didn't need to go the ER unless I had a fever. The first one, we didn't know what it was, and I did have a fever, so I went to the ER. But ERs tend to call everything PID because that is easy to treat. The ER dr. actually accused my husband of sleeping around! (The STD tests came back 2 days later negative of course.) If you do have to go to the ER tell them you think a cyst may have ruptured.
I'm sorry you are having trouble getting in touch with your dr. That is a shame that they are trying to force you to spend a lot of $$ on ER when they could just see you. I don't like my dr's nurse much, and last week when I felt she was trying to head me off and not let me talk to him (I didn't like her answer to my question), I sent him an email with my question. He called right away. I have a direct phone # for his office now. That means I have to talk to his nurse, but I don't have to talk to the clinic receptionists.

Hey Bernice how are you feeling. Boy oh boy do I hate it when the nurses are like that. I wouldnt waste anytime going down there if they had talk to me like that. Usually you can get farther if you just show up at the office. But if not I would head for ER cuz you could have that cyst burst and from what i understand it hurts real bad. Good luck and keep us informed of how your doing

Bernice - I don't think that I'd wait until Monday. If you do your in for one looooong weekend & then you might end up in the ER. Since that receptionist is being such a witch - I'd just drive down there & insist that the doc sees you. Good luck!!

Hi,

I too think it sounds like a ruptured cyst...I have had one burst every month for nearly a year now and completely feel your pain. I know the two times I was in completely excruciating pain and went to the ER they were completely worthless...I would rather suffer at home than have them treat me like I am stupid. Hope you start feeling better soon and good luck at the castle!
