rectocele?

Hi!

This may not be the place to post, but I don't see a place for "rectal matters."

In doing another self-exam today , checking on the old TOT problem, I felt a buldge on the side of my vagina. I pushed on it and it made me feel like I had to poop.

What are the symptoms of a rectocele? Can't find any info!

rectocele?

with my rectocele the bulge was on the bottom of the vagina and stuck out. It was large by the time I got it repaired. If you push down on it, it will empty out bm. I was still feeling the bm in the bulge up to a few weeks ago. I continued with constipation issues after my repairs. up until the last 3 weeks when I had my tvt and anterior repair I had to splint to go. My surgeon checked and said the posterior repair was still in good shape. After enulose was added to the colace and miralax I can finally go without splinting.Make sure you are taking stool softeners and have plenty of fiber in your diet. If you can see the bulge and having bm problems you should get a appt with your gyn.
Type in rectocele and do a search. there is alot of sites on it.
Good luck and I really hope you don't have one.

rectocele?

Margot,
On this web-site the information on rectocele is found by clicking 'Resources' on the left hand column (2 under message boards) then click 'Prolapses' there is rectocele information included in with the hyst information.
I can feel the hard lumps of feces (gross) buldging into the back of my vagina. A rectocele can be low and hanging out or higher and buldging out. I hope you don't have one too.
