My date is close to yours - July 11 - I had TVH with rectocele and cystocele repairs - had some granulation that finally healed, but the bladder is still acting up - if it wasn't for that, I'd feel fine. I'm taking Enablex which is helping my urine stream some, but I still feel pressure and heaviness in the bladder area just like before the surgery! It's not as bad as a month ago though - my doctor doesn't see anything abnormal - just seems to be taking a long time to heal.

My surgrey date was 7/19 and I know what you are talking about when you say swelly belly. I could scream. I have been dieting and exercising but nothing helps. If you find a cure please tell me about it.

My surgery was close to yours (27 july)and my wound is still open and I have neuropathic pain in my left leg and excruciating pain in my back and side which the doctor thinks is spinal damage. I am still very tired but that could be to do with alll the medication I'm taking. do you still have pain when you are walking or standing ? I feel like I'm never going to recover from this surgery and actually feel worse than before which i never thought possible. I know I have to be patient but am struggling with that just now because i want to be me again and not "Mrs. Hysterectomy Woman". i really hope you start to feel better soon and that the day will come when you forget you've had surgery and are fully intergated back into your old life
God Bless

My surgery was July 28. I'm still struggling with granulation tissue that is inflammed and a bit painful. I feel better in the morning and by the evenings I'm pretty sore still. It is getting better slowly week by week. I try not to measure day by day, because the recovery is so slow. My dr wasn't surprised at how I am feeling when I saw her last week. She reminded me that it is major surgery and it does take a long time to heal. 6-8 weeks is just the initial healing stage, there's still more healing to be done. Hang in there, you are not alone.

Hi Babiesone1963,
My surgery was the day before your surgery (July 12). I still have swelly belly and a tender incision area. I also have a bit of spotting due to, I think, the vaginal infection that I am dealing with since radiation three weeks ago. When the doctor examined me she said that everything was raw and infected. Hopefully, that will soon stop, but because of the antibiotic I am on, the dr. said to be prepared for a yeast infection on top of that. I agree with you, one day I have energy and the next I am so tired that I am in bed by 7 pm. I look forward to when this is only a hazy memory!
