Fifth week of recovery and doing well.

Hi everyone

I apologize for not emailing sooner, as my computer was down. I had my sub-total hysterectomy on 9-2, and stayed in the hospital until 9-4. I am doing very well and have never felt better. I was sent home with some pain killers, one to take in AM and one in the PM, out of the 40 count for PM pain killers, I have only taken 10, and haven't taken the AM ones. I was taking naps the first week I was home and I also started walking around my neighboorhood the first friday I was home, that was a mistake, my body let me know. I am still walking, and feeling better each day. My doctor was wonderful, so were the nurses, I had the staples out 6 days after my surgery, and had surgi band aides, that came off after two weeks, my scar looks very good. The swelling went down after the surgery, I had no itching or pain. I asked my doctor how large the fibroid was, and he told me, it was encased inside the whole uterus, my stomach has gone down. My next appointment with him is next week.
