Hurrican / Hysterectomy Survior

Hello Ladies,
Helpppp.

Sorry it took so long to get back in touch. Had total Hysterectomy August 2 returned home after a 3 day hospital stay. Re-admitted to hospital a week later with a Staff Infection , spent another week in hospital, returned home with a home-health-nurse. Then the Hurrican was comming. evaucated to Houston, then Selmla AL now in Tallahassee Fl. Belly is finally closed but has a numb / itchy fist size mass on my left leg that I am not sure why it is there. When I first left the hospital the whole front of my left leg was numb, the area is not as large as it was. Has this ever happen to anyone else after surgery? Thanks jenhorne

Jenhorne,
I am blessed that I haven't had the problems that you have had, but I want to send you a BIG your way. I used to live in Alvin which is about 15 miles from Galveston and I know how scary hurricanes can be. Recovering from a hysterectomy is a challenge enough, all on its own, without a hurricane to worry about. And you had to move around and do all of that evacuation, and now I think your body is telling you about it (that is just a guess on my part).

If you have not already done so, I hope that you call your doctor ASAP and tell him/her what is going on. You want to be sure that you don't have any blood clots. This is IMPORTANT! I sure hope you get to feeling better soon. And I pray that you and your family are safe and sound. God bless you.
