Strange reaction to anaesthesia??

My mother's friend recently had surgery. Upon awakening, she experienced severe dizziness and "heard" singing and it didn't stop until she was given antivert for the dizziness. The recovery room nurses assured her that there was no music playing, and this was a reaction to the anesthesia. She said that this had gone on for one hour. Has anyone had this strange reaction ??

Wierd. Never heard of it. I gotta say though, if you're gonna have a strange reaction to anesthesia, hearing singing sounds like a good one to have - considering all the other strange reactions that are possible.

Yes, that is a good point, singing is a wonderful reaction compared to what might have been!!
