13 days post-op: sharp, new pains

Sorry to bother everyone again, but here goes.
At about 6am today, I started having sharp, lower left abdominal pains, and pain up my vag (sorry). I haven't had this type of pain in my recovery from surgery until today. I'm 13 days post-op. Should I be concerned, or is this part of the healing process. I wanted to check with you smart ladies before calling the nurse/dr.
I've tried tylenol, and a hydrocodone that I had left from back pain a few months ago.
That hasn't really helped much.

Are they sharp shooting pains? Do they go away for awhile and come back? If it's like that, it is the nerve endings healing. I still get them once in a while although not quite as severe.

If it's a constant pain though you should probably call your dr to make sure that it's not something else.

It's kind of a dull ache most of the time, with sudden sharp pains, always in the same area (lower left abd, vag).
Do you think this what you are talking about with the nerve endings?

The pain got worse as the evening went on. Dr said to meet him in the ER. Thinks it's possibly kidney stones. Sent home on heavy duty pain pills. Probably I'll have more tests in the morning.
