foul odor mean infection?

Well this kind of embarrasing but I need to know. About a week ago my dh and I tried to have sex again with the same disappointing results. But my question is this, while trying to get things started I noticed a strange and foul odor coming from down there. Now I have had strange odors from there before my surgery but they were very slight and due to a bacterial infection. This was very strong and even had a little bit of a very thick discharge. Now this the strange part. It made my dh very raw and red and sore. He put antibiotic cream on himself for about three days and it cleared up. I have dr app. tomorrow so any advice would be great. Thanks

If your dh got sore, then yes it probably is an infection, possibly yeast. Yeast will cause a very thick white discharge. Usually it is itchy and it can be passed back and forth between each partner if you don't get it cleared up on both of you. The dr will be able to tell you if it is yeast or bacteria. Hope it clears up quickly!

how

How can I have a yeastinfection when all the goods are gone? Does that have anything to do wth yeast or not? I do not know. I have lots of questions for the dr tomorrow. I have had no pain or itching at all just the smell and the discharge was just that one time although the odor is still there. Thanks for the replies
