Bladder Sling

I'm not very good at drinking plain water. Has anyone who had this procedure been told they needed to stay away from certain drinks such as coffee, tea, diet Dr Pepper? :email:

I had my pre-op yesterday. I asked that very question because I LOVE diet Dr. Pepper. They said coffee and tea are OK, but you want to avoid anything that gives you , so no diet Dr. Pepper. I am planning to drink a lot of water, but I'm trying to figure out how to get my caffeine as I don't like coffee or tea. Maybe I'll just give up caffeine as part of this.

Ok, thanks. That's good to know. I can handle tea for a little while, but I don't like herbals. They gotta be the real thing. I know I get a terrible headache without caffeine. You're right though. Maybe I should just give it up.
