start-stop-start--stop-start---UGGG

I have been doing that for 15 years. I started smoking when I was 15. I used to steal my brothers cigs, Clove cigs as a matter of fact. Well I am now 31, I can't tell you how many times I have started and stopped. I quit for noth my pregnancies but then started again the day I started back to work. I have quote for months in winter but as soon as it turns nice, I start again. I quit when I am sick, only to start AGAIN. I have my hyster scheduled for December 14th. My Dr has said (on numberous occasions) that I really must quit for my surgery. I want to, I quit for a week last week, but then started again yesterday. I really want to be as heathly as I can for this transition in my live but I can't seem to stop. Any advice from any other starter/stoppers out there?

I can relate to the stop/start. I quit when I had pneumonia but as soon as I was better I lit back up. It didn't bother me when I was in the hospital for the hysterectomy not to have a cigarette, yet as soon as I got out, I was back to smoking.

I have been successful numerous times cutting back, but have never been able to quit succesfully. I do know that I need to quit this bad habit. I keep telling myself that one day I will, but I've not set the day yet.
