Has anyone tried alternative treatments

Has anyone tried any alternative treatments for lingering abdominal pain? Today is my 3 month hysterversary and I am getting tired of dealing with pain everyday. I thought I would try some different medical approaches to see if anything will help so I have started with a chiropractor. Thankfully the chiropractor is someone I have known on a personal level and she suggested I try 1 week worth of daily treatments to see if it is helping. After the end of the first week we'll sit down to talk and decide. If there is no improvement at all we'll stop, if there is some improvement we'll keep going. I was thinking of tryin accupuncture if that doesn't work. Does anyone have any other suggestions I might be able to try?

Hi,

I have not tried accupuncture , but hear good things about it.

Maybe someone will come along with some ideas that have helped them.

Hi candyapplelady,

Sorry you are having lingering pain! I have seen both a chiropractor and an accupuncturist quite a lot. I have had good results with both (although I should note that I haven't had the abdominal pain you mention). Everyone's situation is so different, and every practitioner is so different... it may be hard to make generalizations about effectiveness, but I would definitely give them both a try. I hope you get good results, and some relief. Post again and let us know how you do. Sending best wishes!

Thank you SuzyQ and Lonicera. At this point I am willing to give anything a try. I have had my third appointment with the chiropractor and have noticed minimal improvement. I have three more appointments scheduled and then we will evaluate if this has made any improvement. I have my fingers crossed that this will work. Thanks again for your encouragement.
