Doctor said "No HRT" - "YIKES" - Need advice

I am having a TAH RSO with hernia repair, rectocele repair, and endometrial removal. I have stage 4 endometriosis and it is all over inside me. My uterus and remaining ovary are adhered to my other organs by endometrial tissue and scars. I lost my first ovary 17 years ago at 24 to endo. My doctor says no HRT for me after surgery because of endometriosis. He said even though he removes all visible endo. that there is remaining microscopic endo. that can remain. Therefore, he does not want to put me on any HRT right away because it can cause the endo. to grow back. My questions are the following:

1. Anyone else have this same problem?

2. How long before you could take something?

3. How bad were the mood swings and menopause symptoms?

4. Anyone have the endo. grow back and have to have surgery again?

I am already very emotional and anxious. I hope not having any HRT doesn't make me a basket case. I am a very cold person so I guess a hot flash now and then might be welcome. Especially at night when my husband won't let me warm my ice feet on his warm legs. LOL.
Thanks for any info or advice.

Sounds like the hot flashes might be a blessing in your case..lol "cold feet" I live in Florida and put off so much heat eveb pre surg ppl use me as heater in our cold but short winter..the rest of the year no one wants to sleep next to me..lol...I am over a year out from my surgery and I still have hot flashes ..have never had any hormones..my doc gave them to me but my teenage daughter looked up adverse effects of taking them and said not worth the risk (cancer history in family and my mom has had two benign lumps removed from breast as well as my younger sister) so in my situation I decided not give my body addl stuff... had enough stuff removed from my body already and would like to keep what little amount of breast i do have. listen to your body is what I always say...there are days my family avoids me but "mood swings" but all in all I just take it one day at a time
