I was given the option of a hysterectomy today. I'm 45 with problems of endometriosis, fibroids, and I have an enlarged uterus and it's tipped. Last December I had a LEEP procedure done because of a bad pap. Last 2 follow ups were good. I've been having very heavy periods with cramps so bad they feel like contractions. Now - here's my dilemma: I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! If I have this procedure, will I gain weight afterwards, how long will I be off work, what will my sex life be like. I'm really confused here and don't know what to do. Should I wait or just have it done.
