Bio-Identical Hormones

Can someone explain to me what Bio-Identical Hormones are? I am 11 weeks post-op with complications from colitis. I am lightheaded and jittery with nausea. Feel like the pregnant nausea. I'm on Vivelle Dot 3.75cm. I sure haven't felt very good lately. Have the blurry vision and confusion too! I will go see my dr. on Nov. 9th. Would like to know what the Bio-Identical Hormones are so I can ask him about it. I'm taking PreNatal Vitamins, Citrical and Omega Supplements. My system is so sensitive to everything. I had to quit taking stool softeners as they made me really nauseated. I sure do like this HysterSisters website, sure makes me feel good and not all alone. Thanks for all your help ladies!

Bio-Identical Hormones

Becky,
I'm assuming that you are on the .0375 Vivelle Dot, which is bio identical estradiol. The .0375 is a pretty low dose, it may be that you need a higher dose.

Here's a thread that has an explanation on what is meant by bio identical hormones Bio Identical Definition

You can read more about hormones in the articles at www.hormonejungle.com
