Still Cant Sleep

Hi Tammie! I had trouble sleeping for most of the first year after my hyst. It was very frustrating.
Mine sleep problems just settled down after about a year. I don't know why. My doctor said my body was getting used to the changes.
Have you asked your doctor about this? That might be a good place to start.
I take my calcuim at night also. The lady at my health food store said calcuim can help you relax. I don't know if this is true or not, but I started taking it at night instead of in the morning.
Take care!

Finally found a tea to help me sleep!

I am almost 6 months out and not sleeping at night has been hard. I recently discovered Celestial Seasonings Sleepy Time Extra. It has valerian in it and it really works. My husband at the same time was having a hard time sleeping too because of stress from work. He tried all kinds of meds. from his doc but they left him foggy the next day. I said I was able to get some sleep from the tea and he drinks it now too. It felt like I was waking up every fifteen minutes restless, hot, cold you name it. I still wake up at times but am able to sleep sounder without so many night sweats. It got so bad I sleep with a fan and a heating pad because when I'm hot I am burning and when I'm cold I'm freezing. This tea took that awful restless feeling away. I used to call it "tortured sleep" We have been using it for 2 weeks and are no longer complaining about no sleep. Hope this helps someone!

Still Cant Sleep

Hi,
I also have problems sleeping i had my surgery on 12th September 2005 at the monent i am using tablets to sleep if i need them, i also found now that i am back at work i am more tired but that does not always mean that i can get to sleep, a friend has a theory that it is because i had my surgery early evening (6pm) she says that as a came out of the anasthetic in the wee small hours that my body clock has reset itself (like a baby when they are new born) and in time by body clock will re adjust lets hope it is sooner rather than later.
The only thing i have learnt is don't get stressed about it because that just makes things worse.....
Take care
Jackie x
