How long for LAVH?
At the office visit when I finally agreed to original doc's suggestion I was told she expected around 2 hours. But she thought maybe even longer.
She said there was a lot to clean up and she was going to try to free the right said ovary from being 'cemented' to my uterus. I have read some hystories where women are saying theirs was under an hour. Just wondering what other LAVH have been told. No other procedures are expected to be done. My mother had a VH about 11 years ago due to sever prolapse, they also tacked up her bladder. Surgery was under an hour I recall.
Thanks for any info!

Yep, I'm over from BC.
Ok, I only know about 50 Kellys over there. Enlighten me?
I guess I'm dreading what so many women having this are... wake up to find I had a TAH, which would just be a change in plans in the long run. Heck I alredy have my c-section scars. What is some more? My second opinion cautined this was very possible due to my uterus abnormalites etc.
Just looking for info as always...

Kelly, Oh, of course I remember you. Hey, how are you doing?! I'm sorry to meet up again like this. Wish we were both not doing it. Yours is super soon! Are you doing ok? How is your dd (I did a leaf LO of her, right?) I don't even remember yours not getting to me... that seems like oh, 200 years ago. We moved to Al since. I went to the scrapbook board on BC and it's DEAD I tell you. That's what twopeas is for, huh?
Good luck with your surgery. I'll be looking for you 'hystory'. Any BTDT intimate details help me feel better!

Jhereg,
If it's not too rude... where in AL did you have your surgery? I'll be at Mobile Infirmary...
And thanks for letting me know how long yours took.

How long for LAVH?
I'm still at BC daily. Just on my son's birth board, the bargain board and the board I host.
My kids... ages 8,5 and 3 now! My 8 yo has OCD and is on meds for it. Her psychologist told me to tell her about 1.5 days prior. If I had my way I wouldn't tell her at all, but of course that won't work!
None of them will see me until I get home. I know the older ones were scared to death after I had Tommy and that was just a routine c-section! I have started little notes and special little treate etc for them while I'm away. My parents will be helping out lots.
I do worry about my 8 yo... but psych said to make sure dh called the school when it was over so she know I was doing ok. I thought that was a pretty good idea.
Boys... they won't care! I'm sure they'll have pizza and Happy Meals for a week straight! Sigh.
Keep me updated!?
