Well I'm going to try to post this morning... I'm kinda suspicious as my "bouncy" guy has his arms stuck up in the air... not his usual bouncy self...
It was a very restful weekend... even with our "adventure" yesterday with DgS... first out to breakfast (had pancakes) and then on to the Aquarium. We all had a great time!! And, what a beautiful day it was. We had our picture taken at the end of our day at the Aquarium... and when I compared it to when DD was home in September... I can definitely see the difference -- esp in my face -- when I compare photos.
So with that said, today will be a good day!! Having the one gal quit last week... actually was like having a weight taken off me... that's really a sad thing to say, but oh so accurate!
B - whole grain bagel w/ veggie cream cheese
Ss - raisins, mixed fruit
L - ??
D - ?? (need to food shop)
They are trying a new food service at work, and they come to our building on Mondays... food is very good and healthy too. So, I'm not sure what choices they will have... if all fails, they do make a very good tuna fish salad.
Today's a cardio day at the gym... and thank goodness. I couldn't believe how sore I was yesterday from Saturday's workout.
Sounds like everyone had a good weekend... don't have time to address everyone individually, but wishing you a day where you do your BEST to get Movin'... TaTa

Hi Sue, sounds like a great day yesterday! And congratulations on seeing the difference in the photographs. Way cool!!
Today I need to eat better. And I'm making a commitment to myself NOW. I have in my little lunch box a chicken sandwich for lunch, a tuna sandwich for late afternoon snack before I drive home, some skim milk to have with my Citrucel shake for breakfast, and two small apples. If still hungry when I get home, then dinner will be leftover oatmeal with raisins and some peanuts and cottage cheese. We need to get some greenery in the house!! I refuse to eat anything other than what I have packed, no pretzels, no chocolate, no nothing today. Period.
I think that some of my prolapse problems have to do with my excess belly fat, and I need to deal with that ASAP.
Wishing you all well and sending s and for a great day ahead!

Morning Sue and all who come along
Gertie and I have our walk in and I am now cooking my oatmeal for bkfst, then I will be off to Curves.
Snack will be yogurt
lunch a salad
Curves shake
dinner will be chicken and probably green beans
This morning is quite crisp, I wore a t-shirt yesterday morning to walk and this morning wore sweats and was a bit chilly. But it is beautiful out and the leaves are just about gone from the trees.
Sue, glad to hear you had a relaxing weekend and spent nice time with Dgs. DS and I can't wait to be grandparents, BUT, wait we must. DS's aren't ready for parenthood yet. This is one drawback to having children when you are in your late 20s and early 30s. Most of my friends have grandchildren.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day. Nancy, I would love to go to one of those parties. Is it a party like Pampered Chef or Mary Kay? Sounds wonderful.
s to all of you, may your day be Blessed.

Good Morning Everyone! Hi Sue, Desk and Margo..and Hi's to everyone still to post today!
Today is Curves..then home to work on my mountain of leaves. I can't see the grass in my backyard there are so many blown down by the wind. But I think this might be better than the way they were trickling down. Once I get them cleaned up..I won't have so many to do each day. I love having trees, but I do the majority of the yard work and it gets to be a lot sometimes. Plus I've got better things to do..Like go on my Cruise in 12 days.
Food..I have no idea, but I'll make wise choices. Everyone sounds so planned out today. I'm just trying to get everything done. I'll walk also..then I'll head to my spa party this evening. That should be fun. I'm looking forward to it.
I'll try to check back in.
Have a BEST OP day everyone!

Good Morning Sue, Desk, Margo and all who follow,
We took the dogs for a ride, with necessary walk, yesterday; fall leaves still hanging on round these parts, so scenery still was lovely. Since DH likes to buy something to eat on the road, I decided to make a low carb tuna wrap vice get stuck with a fast food nono. Did succomb to having some of his fries though.
Sue, glad you had a pleasant Sunday with DgS. How nice to see weight loss changes in photos - just more proof of the puddin.
Desk, if you find a solution to the belly fat pls send it on. Since my surgery I have noticed more fat there as well as in other places in general too. Really think those hormone changes have negative effects re this too.
Margo, looks like you have healthy meals planned. We're still in Indian Summer here- suppose to hit the low 70s today.
Trying to plan good meals this week and exercise. Walking two days and swimming two day.
B-low carb bagel with w/smart balance lt spread; will have an egg later for protein.
L-salad, tuna, soup if still hungry
D- lentil stew with couscous, salad
S- fruit, nuts.
Wishing all a movin OP Monday!

Morning Everyone
Oh no, back to the old routiene with DH home on Sunday's and Monday's. I can't tell you how I used to love having Monday mornings all to my self!!!
Slept so poorly last night I feel really drug out today. I refused to get on the scale as I'm so blown up with water, that's another reason to feel lousy. I am going to do my best to increase my water and make good choices each day this week. I need to get this 5 lbs off and then get started back on my downward path the doc wants to see.
Bkft: homemade egg mcmuffin w/egg, american cheese, bacon and a cup of coffee. HD had bkft ready when I can down and was hurt that I would refuse? Oh brother.....:sigh:
LUnch: I intend to make tuna salad on lettuce - don't know what DH will want, lol
Dinner: something with chicken!! Maybe the stir fry receipe I got from the show the other night.
Everyone sounds like your starting the week off with high spirits. Nancy, my DH is already talking about another short vacation (yes a cruise) over the Xmas holidays and taking our girls with us. Oh boy - I think he's dreaming, lol. But we'll see what the surgeon thinks of that idea after his surgery on his foot.
OK - I'm off to do a whole list of things I've written down so I won't forget! LOL
Hugs to all - I'll stop back later cause I know I'll need help staying on the straight and narrow path to good healthy eating!!

Hi girls!!!!!!!!! Had a very lovely pretty much OP weekend and now I am gearing up for another OP week. I do need to increase my water intake as I still have seemed to slack off over the past few weeks. I am planning a walk this afternoon with my neighbor. I have a meeting tonight..............first one as a Booster Club member of our high school basketball team. They usually head out for something to eat afterwards but I think we will beg off this time.
Over the weekend I was reading on Netscape an article from WebMD. It listed a number of drug-induced weight gain medications that many people are on. If you see a med you are taking on this list, you can consult your doctor to make a switch to a better choice regarding one that does NOT cause weight gain. Here is the list:
Prednisone
Elavil
Tofranil
Zyprexa
Paxil
Zoloft
Depakote
Diabeta
Diabenese
Cardura
Inderal
Nexium
Prevacid
Margo, I am waiting to be a grandma right there with ya!
Desk, s
Sue, how old is your DgS?
Nancy and Melissa, Please tell me your secret on how you can afford to go on all of these cruises?
Peggie, My bookshelf unit has been installed but needs some last minute adjustments( my uncle is a perfectionist) before I can paint it later this week. It looks great so far!

Hi BEST Friends
A quick break after dinner. I need to clean up the kitchen. I've posted below the link for the Robin Miller show "Chicken Little" where I got the receipies I've spoken about. I made the Chicken Stir Fry w/Basmati Rice. I have to say that I've made better stir fry from other receipies. This one was so-so in my opinion. We did like the rice, but the taste does not justify the price of this expensive rice. It would be just as good made with regular long grain rice or with brown/wild rice.
However I did like the acorn squash receipe as I stated. Anyway - see for yourselves!
http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/show..._40895,00.html
I'm going to try the chicken stew w/dumplings later in the week. Since I've committed the ingredients, I'll give it a whirl.
Today was so frustrating for me - with DH home I didn't get but 1/2 my list done. Had to take him shopping for a new sport coat so that he could stand in an honor guard at a viewing tonight for someone in the American Legion with him. It's a nice gesture, but the money for a navy blue coat right now is tight - esp since he's going to have a revision of his gastric bypass after Xmas. He'll be losing more wt and won't get much use out of this coat. Oh well. What's a wife to do? LOL.
I'm just in a bad mood and nasty today. I don't know why. I need a chill pill, or maybe a glass of wine to soften my mood? LOL, hummmm now there's an idea. I'm looking forward to a day of peace and quiet tomorrow. My sis called and asked me to take her to vote, then I'll do what I want/need to get done. ALL ALONE!! IN QUIET!! IN MY OWN WAY!! This togetherness stuff is for the birds.
Ems - to be honest, I save the money out of DH's pay. The first time we went he used a bonus he'd gotten. After that, I took over and just planned how to save it. Of course it's going into our cruise fund, rather than into savings for our old age, lol, but I don't want to be old, sick, and have never gotten to go anywhere!! Heehee. DH says, have a good time now while he can. In a lot of ways he's right. Of course our DD's haven't hit us up for any weddings yet. I don't want to see those bills we'll have to pay for - 3 girls????? OMG OMG OMG lol
BTW Em - you can add Lipitor to the list. 5% of all patients who take this medication retain water wt. Per the package insert and DH's doctor. Doc had to put DH on a diuretic when he started Lipitor.
OK - off to clean up the dreaded kitchen mess. Have to shower and change to go to the viewing. I'll stop back late tonight.

I'm heading out the door in a minute for my Spa party. This should be fun and relaxing.
Emily...We do like Melissa does. I put some into a cruise fund out of each of DH's checks. I won't touch it unless it's for a cruise. Then it's all paid for, and we really don't notice the money coming out of our pocket. Oh..And did I mention we're leaving in 12 days.
Have a great evening everyone!

Emily - we've also done every price range there is on a ship from 1st class all the way down to the bilge pumps. The one thing I've never had was an inside cabin - I want to see daylight in the mornings!
Just got home from the viewing. DH was in the honor guard and I stood in line for almost 1+1/2 hrs to get in! This man was very blessed with many many friends, family, and co-workers.
I'm enjoying a hot cup of tea and some trail mix. Trying to stay focused and only have a handfull.
Hugs to each of you - I'll see you in the morning.
Melissa
