8 weeks out and spotting/cramping

Hi ladies,

Not sure what to do. 8 weeks post op aster an abdominal H (kept ovaries), had adenmyosis and pelvic venous congestion. I was doing really well up until this past week. And then I started spotting/cramping this past week. It feels like the way it was before the surgery. I am really confused as to why it is happening. Could it be that this is the time I should be getting my period? I just never thought I would feel like this again-such a bummer. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Normal, not normal?

8 weeks out and spotting/cramping

HI! Sorry you are feeling so lousy! If you kept your ovaries and they are working they will most likely continue to give you PMS symptoms just like before your surgery, only difference is you won't get a period. Is it around the time you would have normal had a period? Luckily for me I never had PMS other than a sore gland under my arm pit about a week before my period started. Five months post op and it is still my only PMS symptom, so alteast I know my ovaries are working! If I were you though I would call the Dr. just to be sure! Take care and hope you feel better!

You don't say exactly what surgery you had ... did you keep your cervix? I did, plus my ovaries. Having kept my ovaries I still get PMS and, as I kept my cervix, I experience 'mini-periods' as well. Just a very light spotting for 24-48 hours every month.

This may be what you're experiencing but the only way to find out is to have a chat with your doctor.

Good luck!
