Prayer Before Surgery

I hope there is no problem posting this.
I came across this just after I had my surgery. It is first person, something you would say yourself. Could be changed to pray it for someone else.

Loving God,
I commit myself with perfect trust into your hands.
Watch over and protect me in my time of weakness.
Grant that as I become unconscious to earthly things,
my thoughts may be turned to you.
Bless and guide the hands and minds of my surgeons,
that through them your healing power may restore me
to good health and strength.
Bless the nurses and all those who will care for me
as I return to consciousness.
Surround my relatives and friends with your peace
as they wait for my recovery.
And Lord, grant me the strength sufficient
for whatever I may face. Amen.

I hope this is some help and comfort.

I go to the castle wednesday, I'll take it with me.
