2years,6months and now the problems start!

Well, 2.5 years ago I was on this site every minute it seemed, due to endo, adeno and fibroids. I had an abdominal hyster leaving my left ovary. I delt with the recovery and everything seemed great until 4 months ago when all of a sudden I got cramps. I really had no Idea of what was going on. I never thought I would feel menstral cramps again. I guess I should also say that I am now 45 yoa and am on 0.625 premaryn. Anyway, the cramps lasted 2 weeks then stopped. They continued to go on and off in a 2 week span for the last 4 months.
I have been to my Dr. and have had 2 ultrasounds. She said that the ovary that is left has cysts on it. I cant believe that this is causing such pain. I have menstral cramps every day and at times they seem to interfere so much that I dont want to go out of my house. I do work and find myself taking 2400mg of motrin to get thru the day. If anyone has any thoughts I would be happy to hear. I am scheduled to have the ovary removed on Dec,8th and am a little worried about the effects.

It's sound to me like your endo is back. I think the smartest thing to do would be to remove the ovary. I had a TAH/BSO and only 2 months after surgery my pain returned and my doctor said he is almost positive my endo is back. 97% of people who remove their ovaries, cervix, and uterus have no return of endo. I was just one of those 3% who it returned to. If you went for 2.5 years without pain while on estrogen, surely if you get the ovary out that with releive your pain. I wish you the best of luck and hope you are pain free once again.
