Do any of you have very bad low back pain with your cyst? I have a tremendous amount of low back pain. This morning it woke me up and I couldn't lay any way at all that was comfortable. It is hurting as I am typing here at work. I just gnaws and gnaws at me. I feel like nobody can get to the cause of my back pain. Before my hysterectomy, it was due to large fibroids, and now they are gone. I have this cyst on my left ovary that is maybe a little larger than a golf ball. My gyn isn't sure if the cyst is causing it or not. My family DR. said cyst come and go. I didn't think to tell her, yea but this one has been here since June! I just made myself an appointment with a Back and pain relief center. They said the first thing they would do is an MRI which is what others seem to think I need. I just want to find out what is causing it and fix it!! It effects almost everything I do. The only thing that helps it is heat and a pain pill. I have some prescription Anaprox for here at work and they don't even work. I didn't hurt for the last few days and then today it went Bang!! Any advice?
Mine do the same thing!!! Nothing will help until they come out!! When I had my hyster they removed the cyst from my right ovary, then 1 week later it came back, and the back pain was there again...I know just how you feel. I am so sorry for your pain, because I know you can' t get comfortable to lay down, or stand up, it is just miserable.
YES YES YES!!! I just found out I have a fairly large cyst and first I had abdominal pain and now I have the dull back ache on the left side. It's almost as bothersome as the abdominal pain!! I can't stand it! I feel your pain The sad thing is nothing seems to help me either I'm on percocet 10 mg, 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours. That's a lot of narcotic pain medicine and it doesn't do anything but take the edge off. The heat helps more than anything. I see the doctor tomorrow and I'm going to tell him to take it out, I can't live like this!!
Just wanted to pop in that I have a cyst on my left ovary. My GYN called me yesterday to check on me and I asked him if it could cause my back to ache on that side and he said yes! Just my experience with my cyst!
Isn't it awful? I did not have this one sided back pain with my previous cyst. It's a little weird actually feeling the dull ache on one side. I'm used to lower back pain all the way across like I had with my period.
You can also be quite fatigued from cysts. Especially if they are blood filled because you can become anemic.
