Am I the only one moody & hurting?
My big date is April 11th. I think I can't wait. I have been dating a guy for two years. The last few months have been trying. He cant say anything right. I bite his head off. My left side has hurt for two years. I am in constant pain. Also, I am a single mom of a 11 yr old daughter and 14 yr old son. Also, I am swelling. Nothing can seem to fit around this belly! I keep my chin up because I know I have the surgery to go thru...Is all this normal?

You do not say what your surgery is or what you are going in. With a lot of the ailments that lead us to an hysterectomy, the symptoms you describe are often to be expected, if not exactly normal (When is it normal to feel the way you've been feeling?).
Sending cyber-hugs your way and hoping you feel better soon.

Sounds pretty normal to me! Between feeling terrible physically, trying to be a good mom and a good partner, and facing the emotions of upcoming surgery, of course you're gonna be a little TENSE!!!
All of these emotions are right in line. Please believe me when I tell you that this is the hardest part! After the surgery, you'll have discomfort, but the fear will be behind you and you'll know that only good things lie ahead!
Please hang in there, and try to reassure your loved ones that even though you're feeling bad now, soon it will all be over and life will be happy again.
We're here for you! Hang in there!
much love and luck

Be as kind to yourself as you would to your best friend if she were going thru this. I know sometimes I beat myself up if I don't feel good and also if I'm grouchy, when those two things just tend to go together and what really helps is someone to say, "Jeez, I'm so sorry you feel bad." Maybe a good tearjerker movie can get out some of that tension, or writing in a journal about all the things that are going thru your head right now.
Take good care, I hope you get lots of support of all kinds throughout this process and come thru it feeling a whole lot better.

hope you don't mind being normal!
Dear Judy,
With all you have going on, who wouldn't be a bit on edge...add surgery to that and wow, a tense situation for sure!
But your LIW period is nearly over and I am confident you will feel better soon after surgery. Just to have the tension of the waiting and nervousness about surgery we all feel...well, that's a big relief.
Keep reading, posting and talking everything over with your doctor. Cyber hugs are going out to you!!
