1 week post op feeling good!!
I am very glad to hear that you are feeling so well, but PLEASE take it easy!!
You are making me frightened for you and also making me feel guilty because I am about 10 days post op and not doing nearly as much as you!
Please be careful, you don't want to undo anything at this point.
On the other hand, how wonderful that you are feeling so well!
Best Wishes!

Soprecious,
You just had major surgery! Housecleaning is a big You only get once chance to heal properly, and that is what you should be doing right now...resting and letting your body heal. I am thrilled that you are feeling so well. However, you may not be feeling very well if you continue to do this!
Pamper yourself! Get lots of rest, and be a good princess!

1 week post op feeling good!!
Soprecious,
I can't stop thinking about you!
What kind of hysterectomy did you have? Was it abdominal? I told me husband that I feel like such a slug compared to you! It took me all day just to get into the shower and it is now 3:30pm E.T.!
Like I said, Wonderful that you are feeling so well, but please be careful.
Oh, forgot one other question? Are you still taking pain medication? I know that once I take it I feel as though I can do much more and feel more like myself.
Don't want to scare you, just want you to be safe!
I am quite sure that all of the "sisters" will agree with me here!
Take this time to pamper yourself. You sound like me in the sense that I can't sit still and it bothers me if the house isn't the way that "I would do it", but I am learning to live with it!
Again, Best Wishes!

better
I felt great three days after surgery, BUT no way was I doing all that. I am 3 weeks post op today. I don't lift anything over 10 lbs.. I swept my patio and that is about it. Bending, etc. puts pressure on your abdominal muscles.. Standing, well gravity is pulling it down. PLEASE. slow down. I don't want you to do damage inside that you cannot see. If you do not do anything damaging,,,,GREAT, more power to you.

9 days post-op
I am 9 days post-op and I do not feel as good as it sounds like you do! I even had a vaginal hysterectomy. My stomach still hurts. I can't sit straight up for to long or I start getting stabbing pains, and if I am up for to long this happens to. I still take a couple pain pills a day because I am taking care of my 5 month old and if I don't take a pain pill I would really be hurting! Like everyone else said, I would definatly slow down. I have heard nightmare stories from two woman I know that did too much too soon and their bladder ended up dropping and they had to go in for a second surgery with even more healing time! If you are already getting anxious ( which I am too) I know you don't want that to happen! I am guilty as well though. I tidied up the living room today. Nothing too hard core, but probably more than I should have.

sorry
I didnt want you to think I am yelling at you or nothing. I am just very concerned that you might seriously hurt yourself and not know it til it is too late. Just take it slow. I am one of those that has to go all the time and it is really hard for me to do nothing, but I don't want to have to get anything re-repaired. Stay healthy.

24Dupont, who are you talking to? I didn't know if that was responding to the orignal post, or mine? If it was directed at mine, I didn't mean for my post to sound negative at all, I was responding to the original post. Sorry if you misunderstood.
