Period Pain?

I am 3 weeks post operative after having multi-cystic left ovary removed via laparotomy. Everything was progressing quite well but yesterday I developed severe pain at the site of the removed ovary together with slight bleeding. Is this my period - I haven't had one for two months? I still have my right ovary and uterus. And why would the pain be in the place where the ovary has been removed. The pain radiates through my back and down my left hip and top of leg. It is the same pain I experienced during my periods as when I still had the left ovary. Is there anyone with similar experiences? Thanks

I'm really sorry to hear you are having all of this pain after your lap. IMHO, i would check with your Dr. about this pain. It seems pretty extreme to me even after 3 weeks post op.

Give your Dr. a call. Better to be safe than sorry. At least it may put your mind at ease.
