Serious loss of libido

Hi all.
Im now 6 months post op and things are going wrong.
Is it me? is it HRT? who knows??
HELPPPP
Me and hubby have always been every day kind of people, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day at the weekend but the last few months my desire has gotten less and less.
Now Im pretty much at the stage where I dont want it at all. I do do it, and try my hardest to enjoy it but its just not happening. Im at the point now where Im so disinterested in it that when we do do it I find it really difficult to orgasm (too much info I know but in for a penny in for a pound)
Hubby is wonderful, very understanding, but its getting to the stage where its really upsetting me now.
On top of all this I have put on 8lbs in 8 weeks and feel fat and horrible.
My boobs are sore, Im tired all the time....... ARGHHHHH
Do you think this is to do with HRT? or is it just me?
Any advise/help would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks.

Love Katey xxxxxx

Serious loss of libido

Hi Katie, It may be the HRT, but I doubt it's just you. I'll be 6 months post op pretty soon and I feel almost the same way. I've always had a very high sex drive, and now all I really want to do is sleep! It's not that I don't want sex, but that I just don't feel the desire as strongly as before. It is discouraging and I really feel for all of us who are experiencing this.
Let's keep juggling the HRT and hoping that this too shall change.
Good luck, BonBon1

Are either one of you taking testosterone? If not, consider talking to your doctor about it. My libido is OK but I am taking estratest fs.

I hope you both find some answers.

Serious loss of libido

Hi Katey I'm so sorry you're feeling not quite up to par. Are you on HRT now? Have you checked out our list of symptoms of too much and too little of the three hormones?:

http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/article_97238.htm

It took me quite a while to get my hormones balanced to where I really felt like "me" again (including the libido part ). I have ended up using all three hormones, including testosterone cream (very small amounts only!), and this has worked for me.

Why not print out a copy of the list, check off the symptoms that apply to you, and bring it to your DR at your next visit? And, meanwhile, reassure your hubby that you are not happy with the way things are, either, and want to make it all better

s,
-Linda

Serious loss of libido

Thanks girls.
I am currently taking climaval 2mg. Climaval tablets contain the hormone estradiol valerate. The hormone is designed to replace the estrogen which is lost during the decline in the function of the ovaries after the menopause.
I have printed off the list as you suggested and it seems to be pointing towards abundance of estrogen and lack of progesterone. I have got a doctors appt booked for tuesday with a new doctor so hopefully she can help.
Luckily my husband is very understanding. He knows how much I love him, and he also realises that its something to do with my body and not the fact that I have just gone off him. I was in tears the other night and even said I wish I had never had the operation, and it was he who said how much better off I am now, and we will overcome this.
Roll on Tuesday............
Thanks for all your advise guys..... Its good to know Im not alone.
Lots of love to you all.

Serious loss of libido

Many of us have found that we still need a bit of compounded testosterone to help in the libido department; however, I don't know if that option is available in the UK.

Bless your husband for understanding!
