Severe Pain....Why?

I have cervical cancer stage IaI, having a hyst Dec 5th...but ever since I had my cone done I am having a killing stabbing pain! It starts "DOWN THERE" and goes upward through to my lower back. OMG!!! Then to top that off, I all of a sudden started bleeding again.
Is this normal witht he cancer? I called the Dr and they said I will have all of this till surgery. Says the pain is simular to a contraction. Thank Gawd I never had pains with my 2 boys..lol. OMG it really hurts to the point of making me sick at my tummy...yuck!
HELP...any suggestions? Was given nothing for pain!

Did your dr give you any ideas on how to get some relief? Maybe you should call back and ask for suggestions or if there is a med that can help. Let him/her know about the bleeding.

All the Dr would say was to take my ibuprohin and maybe it would help...however I still have a few lortabs left from some dental work a few months back so I take them..thats how bad the pain is!!!
As for the bleeding he said it was normal for this type of cancer! And that it will all be over soon!
Any suggestions on pain relief will be more than welcomed!!!

That is terrible that you have to suffer for 2 more weeks. Are there any pain doctors in your area? You can try to get in for an emergency appointment and at least you will have relief until you get surgery. I see a pain doctor for my kidney pain and he is great. So sorry that your in pain.

I don't know, but when my first doc did the punch biopsies (rough, which is why I got a new doc) I hurt like the devil. I had NO IDEA. Men will tell you the cervix doesn't have a lot of nerve endings... but they are men. Hope this doesn't continue!
