Question about Prolapse

I had a vaginal hysterectomy with removal of my ovaries, and did really well with it for 5 weeks. Now I am having extreme pain in my vagina when I sit or lay down, kinds of a tingling burning, pressure feeling, I know that I had a vaginal bacterial infection which I started antibodics several days ago but it seems to get work, when I look at myself in a mirror I don't see anything but am wondering about a prolapse of my vaginia and if anyone knows if that causes this pain??

Question about Prolapse

Hi sonnytabby
I'm sorry you're hurting like this. A prolapse can cause pain, but since you know you have had an infection I think you need to have this checked to make sure that it is healing and isn't the culprit here.
I will share a link here that gives good information on Pelvic Organ Prolapse. This explains them well and what can be done if you have one. I hope this helps. Let us know what you find out.

Update on Office Visit

I went to the doctor today really scared that I had a vaginal prolapse due to some extreme vaginal pain (no sitting or walking or sleeping for last three days) but exam was normal, and I did start using a cortizone cream around the vagina lips which really helped. She told me that I had a reaction to the antibodic they had given me with the first one flagel made me ill. They have me metrocinalin and I won't take that again. It was really awful but everthing is fime and I am 6 wks post op and she released me for everything. I am feeling better today just a little swelling and soreness from reaction left! Thank you God.
