the cause of my leaking

I'm so happy to report that I saw my gyn yesterday. He did a thorough exam, and I did not flood the place while he did it, which was a concern. The leaking had lessened a lot the last few days before I went. I did have some discharge after the examination. Anyway, the Dr. says I am healing very well. He packs the bladder, vaginal cuff, etc. with foam and says my bladder was moved out of the way during surgery and examined after surgery and did not have any holes, the foam then protects it. The leakage has been a combination of healing, taking the cipro (that I didn't even need), and the foam dissolving. He removed the last bit of foam and looked lots with the light --- (these looks seem common places now, who'd have ever thought ?) -- and there is no sign of a hole in the vagina.
So, tomorrow is my three week day and everything is wonderful.
I have stayed dry three nights in a row -- it is sixteen years since staying dry was cause for a party in this house, toilet training my youngest !

the cause of my leaking

Yay, sapphira! I think staying dry is a definite cause for celebration. : I saw my own UroGYN yesterday and he once again reiterated that it can take up to 6 months for the bladder to settle down from surgery irritation. My own surgical irritation has gone away and I too am happy about that. No more stress or urge incontinence-- for that! May you continue to heal well and quickly. Sending along an extra ...................
