possible endometrial cancer NOW STABBING VAGINAL PAINS!

I'm freaking out! if it's not one thing---here certainly comes another.

here is my story (briefly):
34 years old, two children, with long history of endometriosis, pelvic pain. 4 laparoscopies. surgery and d & c from five weeks ago looks suspect for rare endometiral stromal sarcoma.
having a TAH on Dec. 3.

TODAY I WAKE WITH STABBING PAINS IN MY VAGINA!

What is this?

help?

Shannon

I don't know what yours are, Shannon, but I had stabbing pains in my vagina a couple of months ago. Felt almost like razor cuts. They were strong and somewhat positional (ie, bending forward ... yowza). Mine appeared to be related to/caused by Bacterial Vaginosis, a very common infection caused by an overgrowth of certain otherwise normal bacteria. It's very common and many doctors overlook it entirely; others feel it should be treated. I had to demand a culture. A week of foul-tasting pills cured mine (and the stabbing pains and other discomfort).

Hi Shannon,
Did you get in touch with you doctor today?? I definately would have called. Like Rhodaruen said, it could be something as simple as bacterial infection which needs an anitbiodic.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Good point. Maybe it's even a UTI or something.
Please let us know what the doctor says, but in the meantime, to quote our dear friend Ellen, don't waste a good panic.

eek!

if it is bac. vag. infection, will i still be able to have my surgery on saturday?

i also had a uterine infection from my endometrial ablation (oct. 21) and finished antibiotics on nov. 18.

oh, i just want my girl parts out--sew it all up---i'm so done with all of it.

i just battled a 4 month long bac. vag infection...so long b/c doc and i thought it was yeast.

really, i don't need my vagina anymore either...DONE! closed for business!

Susan, If I can ask... what type of cervical cancer do you have? I too have some strange pains here and there....especially when leaning forward. Had a cone and a D&C 5 weeks ago...and have been told it's adenocarcinoma in situ?

I had a very large cervical tumor and had no pain. I guess we're all different!

Hugs,
