Cold :( I have to be well by Monday!! YIKES!

Hi Sweet Sisters,

I have a cold that is flaring up my asthma. I will have to go back for another pre-op Monday (the day before my surgery) to make sure I'm better over this weekend or my surgery will be rescheduled.

All my joking about running away etc. doesn't mean I would change the date, even though I am nervous, I really want to get in and get this over with. Praying for 'all clear' Monday! No more joking for me!

I'm waiting for my PC Dr's office to call me back, my PC Dr. is on vacation.

I spoke to my gyn this AM. At the risk of sounding really weird... I asked if I could see my uterus after they remove it.
It will be photographed and I will get to see it. The gyn was fine with this request. Makes me think others ask this?
Am I the only 'sister' that wants to see what it looks like?

I also found out that my gyn will be using staples to close the A incision. I kept forgeting to ask about that. Either I am a really good patience or a really annoying one???? I just need to know what to expect I guess.

I am keeping a positive 'tude' on the funky cold being gone by Monday. I really don't want to wait anymore! The waiting is getting on my nerves. LOL

Almost there I hope!

Cold :( I have to be well by Monday!! YIKES!

Lots of vitamin C, zinc, fluids & rest. (I think Airborne and Cold Ease help)

Good luck!

I don't care about seeing my uterus but would like to see endometriosis. May sound crazy but I want to touch it. I picture it in my head like tar, dark and sticky or maybe snotty I don't know if I'll ask to or not though. Maybe a pic will be enough

I had no idea my doc was going to take pictures of what he took out of me and I was suprised! My endo looked like big blobs of uncooked chicken fat! UCCKK!

I don't know if I want to see my uterus etc or not. Jury is still out on that one. My biggest fear is that while he is in there he won't see a thing wrong and not finish the surgery! I know that won't happen, it's just a nightmare of mine.

I as scheduled for surgery on Dec 19. The more I think about it, I want to see everything removed! It (and God) has given me the greatest gifts I could ever receive, and I don't want to just toss it like it were a pair of old shoes!

I thought I was the only one who thought of stuff like "do I want to see" and "I am I the only one to ever ask"

Thanks for the support!

Big chicken~~ That's for the advice on cold stuff. I am taking lots of vit.C.
I haven't heard of the cold stuff you're talking about? Is it like Zi-cam<sp? The stuff you put in your nose ?
I was given antibiotics yesterday at the PC's office. Told to drink lots of liquids take extra vit C. I was told to read over the counter cold medicines because I can't have asprin or ibruprofin <sP? so close to surgery. Many cold medicines have this added to the ingredience.

BTW, ROTFL about the thought of endo. looking like tar.

bjr1958's comment on it looking like uncooked chicken eeewww!

I don't have endo. however, a few friends of mine have. I want to send both you ladies hugs as I have heard it is very painful.

My gyn takes photo's of surgery whether I wanted to see them or not. I guess that is just routine for my dr.

I want to see my uterus, both because it is a part of my body, the way it's described to me with lumps all funky shaped etc. I want to see what has been pressing on my insides. It's a closure type thing also for me. The YEP that had to go kind of thing I think. I agree with dezebedth about feeling it has given me a great gift. I don't think of it as an old shoe either.

I can't wait to be on the other side of this surgery!

Have you heard of a miracle medicine called Xlear? It can be purchased from a health food store. I have suffered from reoccurring sinus infections and after I started using it, I have yet to have another infection (knock on wood). I know that it is all natural, the main ingredients in it is grape seeds. It is amazing!

My preacher has sever asthma and allergies and upon using Xlear, can get almost instant relief, though his sinus passage way at least.

Just thought it might help!
