A question about the estrace vaginal cream

My dr gave me estrace vaginal cream, he told me use it for 10 days straight, and then twice a week after that for vaginal dryness. I have used it once and for the next couple of days it seemed like I was wiping most of it away. How much are we suppose to absorb, I am using it like the directions say, but I feel like I am wasting my money. Has anyone had that problem or am I doing something wrong. Any advice would be great. A question about the estrace vaginal cream

are you using it at night? Even though i did, that is why i stopped using the cream and went with vagifem. I couldn't stand the mess!! and it made me itch like crazy. I had to wear panty liners and after a hyst i felt like i should never have to wear anything like that again. The vagifem is not a cream, it is not messy, and it is very simple to use. In my honest opinion, there is nothing better, but alot of ladies use the cream and like it. You might want to check with your dr about vagifem. I used it nightly for 2wks and then every other night and now just when needed.(1-2x per wk)it comes in an applicator and the pill is the size of a phenergan. you insert it and then throw the applicator away. simple and mess free. good luck

A question about the estrace vaginal cream

I like the Vagifem too, however it is expensive. With my current insurance my co-pay was $50! With my new insurance next year, my co-pay will only be $20 though. Thank goodness for that. I can't imagine what it would cost w/o insurance.

A question about the estrace vaginal cream

I use the Estrace cream. I insert it as high as I can put the applicator and then go straight to bed. I think by doing it this way I absorb most of it, and very little comes out when I get up in the morning. If by doing this, you still have a lot coming out, then use a little bit less and see how that goes.

A question about the estrace vaginal cream

I have just been put on Estrace, I am really worried because when I took estradiol orally I had such terrible side effects, headaches, stomach problems, anger, anxiety etc. etc. will the vaginally type of estrogen do the same?

A question about the estrace vaginal cream

Vaginal estrogens very rarely enter the bloodstream. The estrogen stays in the vaginal tissues.
