Doxil Not Working For Me

Just got a call from my oncologist.
Unfortunately my ca125 is on the rise again and up to 800. You also have to remember that I am very sensitive to that protein marker so my number does not creap, it leaps.
I had 4 cycles of Doxil and instead of going down it went up.
I have an appointment for a cat scan on Monday morning (earliest I could get) and my oncologist will get results for me shortly after.
She told me that there are numerous options still available with lots more on the horizon.
I sure hope that she is right.

Rosalie,
I am so sorry to hear this news. I pray that your doctor and you find that one that will eradicate those cancer cells. We will wait with you as you go to your ct scan and get the results.

She's right. There are options out there and your onc. will get the right one. I already said the forbidden word in our e-mail.

(((Rosalie))))

That news really stinks......my oncologist told me kind of the same thing last week....that there are 2 or 3 new drugs out there, and that those of us who have reoccurred need to hold on until these new "wonder" drugs are ready....

I'm glad to hear your Dr. is on top of the situation. Keep us posted. As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers...

Doxil Not Working For Me

Huge s Rosalie

I am soooo sorry to read this. I wanted your dance with NERD to happen sooner rather than later. But it appears as if your NERD guy is going to take a little longer to restart the dance, kinda like Ellen.
You are in my prayers dear Ros.
I imagine the next treatment plan will be made after the CT scan?
Are you feeling well?
At any rate, hang in there! You have many different drugs yet to try and much is happening on the horizon.

Doxil Not Working For Me

Drat! This is not the news we wanted to hear!
Fortunately, there are several new things she could have up her sleeve....and I know your doc is your 'guru' and I have faith that she will come up with something to kick this cancer to the curb once and for all.
I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. Hang in there.
xoxo

Doxil Not Working For Me

Oh No. This is a major bummer. I was shocked at your headline - it never occurred to me that Doxil wouldn't work for you.

We're all here for you, Rosalie, in the good times and the not so good times, and you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Hang tough, my dear. Our fickle friend NERD will be chased back to the dance soon by those new wonder drugs.

Mega ,
