post op appt cancelled - already waited 3 months

My dr told me to come and see her at 12 weeks post op - that is my first post op visit. Twelve weeks should have been December 26. That's a holiday here in Canada so no appointment that day. The nurse booked my appointment for January 4 - that's an extra 8 days. They called me today to reschedule to January 10 - that's 6 more days. That makes my first post op at 14 weeks and 1 day. Hope it doesn't get changed again. Not that I am having any issues, I would just like to get checked out and am finding this frustrating.

I guess I should be happy though - this waiting isn't anything like waiting for my surgery.

I sympathize with you. Twelve weeks is a long time! I hope along with you, there will be no more delays and you can have your mind put to rest that all is as it should be. You deserve an award for your patience. Let us know how your appt goes.

Sorry you are having to wait so long for your post op visit. At least it gives you time to make a list on what you want to ask the dr when you see him.

Just to let you know that I went to my appointment on Jan 10. All checked out perfectly. No problems at all.

I told my Dr about Hystersisters. She said she thinks she heard about it, but wasn't sure what it was. She was making a note and was going to be sure to tell her other patients.

That's great news! I'm glad it was a good report. Thanks for letting us know. Sometimes some extra healing time is a good thing.

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you all that my dr was very impressed with use of all the gargon I used, when we were discussing my recovery. I told her that hystersisters was the place to learn, have fun, but especially to get support no matter what your situation.
