Any one tried urethral injections?

HI, Haven't posted on the boards in a while. My hysterectomy was in Oct. 2000, kept ovaries, with birch procedure. While I have done well after about 1 year my ovaries stopped working as well and I am down to a Vivelle Dot .025 without problems. I have continued to have stress urinary incontinence. My gyno-urologist just performed the uro dynamics test and thinks I would greatly benefit from an injection of Tegress which builds up the urethral wall and stops stress incontinence. Has anyone else had this and how did it work? I think it is relatively new but has had better success than collagen. Thanks in advance.

Elizabeth, I have not heard of this injection so don't know anything about it, but I wanted to bump your post back up to the top to see if someone here may know something about this. It could be noone here has heard of it? You could google Tegress and see what you come up with. Hope you get some answers!

Thanks, The Dr. gave me info on it and I found other information of the net. It looks really promising - I am scheduled for Feb. I will let you know the results.

I have a friend who had this procedure done in November and is very pleased with the results. It was a relatively painless procedure done in the docs office. She too had the birch done many years ago and is much happier with these results!! Good luck to you.
