Need help ASAP

please if you can give guidance, can you email me back asap? I am 6 months post op & have been having cramping this afternoon. I went to the bathroom about 45 minutes ago, and am having bloody mucus. I don't want to, but my first reaction is to freak out!!!! I have called my gyn, but am just waiting for them to call back. Is this serious? Should I be concerned? HELP??!!!

If I was bleeding a lot-like soaking a pad, then I would go to the ER. If it is more like a discharge, then I would try to get ahold of my doc.
I had a light pink tinged discharge a few months after surgery and it was a bacterial plus a yeast infection. Also, my doc said some of the stitches were made to dissolve months after surgery.

If you are really worried, I would go to an urgent care clinic if you have one available. 's

Please try and remain calm. I have found that when I upset myself it only gets worse. You did the right thing by calling . Now you need to wait. I know it's hard but at this point you have done all you can. If you don't hear back soon give them another call. Say a little prayer and keep yourself busy. Please keep us posted.
I'll say a prayer too!!

Bless your heart. Just breathe. Things always pop up on weekends, don't they? Anyway, you've done the right thing by calling. I don't know what this could be but I'm wishing the best for you. Hang in there. Keep us posted.

Thanks! Doc just called, and says that it shouldn't be anything to worry about and that I should go see him next week. Because my cervix is still intact, he says that there might just be some activity going on in there causing the spotting. That he can shoot some silver nitrate into my cervix to help alleviate that. The only ?? remaining is why I'm cramping!!! They took my ovaries (or did they??....lol) so this point should be moot! Oy. Just one day I would like to be whole again! You guys are the best!!

I'm sorry, I don't know what it is, but hang in there until your doctor calls you back. It could be stitches that hung in there all this time, but go to ER if you are bleeding more than mucous. Call someone to come sit with you or call someone to talk to if it helps you feel more secure. I'm sending you positive thoughts.

Good. Glad he called back and you are feeling better about it. I would not hesitate to call him back if it gets any worse or you are not comfortable.
