New Hyster Sister
Hi everyone,
Well, I sent a post to the forum, but can't seem to get it to read. So I won't go into everything at this time again, but wanted to let you know that a friend of mine recommended this site and I have been reading and reading, but this is my first post.
I am scheduled for a LAVH-BSO w/everything removed on April 23rd. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, FMS, anxiety/depression, had back surgery in July 2000, so I really wasn't ready for another surgery, but now's the time.
I have been on Premarin since 1995 due to hot flashes, insomnia, etc but can't take Progesterone as I bleed forever. I've had 2 leeps and have had to have pap smears every 6 months due to abnormal paps, cysts, etc. The cysts are not going away, just getting bigger, my periods are very irregular now, in fact am over a week late now. Was hoping it would be over with before surgery. My uterus is enlarged and am having lots of pain and pressure. The PMS is getting worse and I'm just tired of being sick!
I'm hoping that this will help a lot of my problems and I sure won't miss not having a period!
I have a daughter 23, adopted at 3 days old and a daughter 13. Took me til I was 32 years old to have her! Just goes to show that I've always had some kind of problem in that department.
I live in South Carolina with my DH, 13 year old daughter and 5 Chihuahuas.
Thank you for an exceptional site for women! I look forward to being a Hyster Sister.

Welcome Linda!
So glad you found us! It sounds like you've really had your share of problems leading up to this surgery.
You're in the right place for information, support, hugs and help. Something you will hear again and again is that waiting is the worst part. It's so true!
It will be great to have all of that behind you, and you can get on with your life. I am almost six weeks post op, and I feel better than I have for years!
Please keep reading and posting, and think about stopping into Chat...lots of great sisters there to talk to.
Karen
