anxiety

I have been on the climara patch since surgery in March 2005. I have noticed a major change in anxiety. I have never had anxiety attacks and think that is what happened to me Saturday night. I have unusual fears of closterphobia, I hate these feelings. Anybody else experience this? Seems to be getting worse as time passes. I took the patch off Saturday, wonder if there is any relationship. All estrogen and no progesterone.

Yes, there are alot of people on here that have the same symptoms. I suffered panic attacks before my surgery and after. I developed panic disorder. I can say what you described are the worst feelings, but please dont let these feelings rule you like I did. I still get anxiety but not as bad with the help of paxil, and I take 1mg of estrace. I may also add that i finally had to go see a therypist which helps some, but also read alot of self help material. With all of this said, try another hormone remedy, give it time and have faith and stay strong! I did try progesterone but after awhile it made me really depressed, but everyone is different.
