Losing Weight.......help!

Okay, I read a thread about 1 week ago and did not think this would be a problem, but each day my weight keeps going down. I am 5'7" and now weigh 111 1bs. I usually weight around 116 and stay there easily. I eat....really healthy. Yesterday, buckwheat pancakes with maple syrup, guacamole with sprouted chips, a piece of salmon, some dark chocolate, and an orange. I also drink juice throughout the day. Not a lot of food, but I am not moving that much or as I was before.

My question is, can losing your uterus and HUGE fibroid the size of a grapfruit REALLY add up to that much weight? Anyone else have this problem.

The stress of surgery can cause your body to need more calories for the healing process. You may have to add carbs and calories for a while to keep your weight stable.

Cheers

Losing Weight.......help!

Jode, I lost weight to after the first week and when I went back for my 1 week checkup. I even lost more weight up to my 4 week checkup. I didn't need to lose weight, but it didn't matter to me because it was only about 6 lbs. I am almost 3 months out now and weighing about the same. My taste buds have changed for some reason and now I can't stand chocolate for some reason. When ever I eat anything chocolate, I get sick to my stomach for some reason! I wouldn't worry about the weight loss, unless it gets alot worse and you can't keep anything down.

Because of my weight lose, my dr "prescribed" two High Protein Boosts (similar to Ensure) a day for several weeks. You may wish to talk to your dr about how to add calories to your diet to combat the the weight loss.

Losing Weight.......help!

Today is day 9 of recovery and I gained .5 lbs. I am sure it will all creep back . I was really afraid of gaining weight from all of this lounging...time will tell. I have noticed my tastes have changed. I don't eat dairy, but yesterday Mac-n-Cheese tasted sooooo good (hence .5 lbs). Thanks for your replies.
