I'm finally feeling GOOD!

Sisters,

I almost hate to type this "out loud", but I FEEL GREAT!!! I have been wandering through this jungle since last June with recurrent pelvic pain and numerous specialists. Physical therapy since late November helped with abdominal adhesionsand some of the pain, but the other pain just never left me and was getting worse.

The last OB/GYN I went to on 3/27 said my pain was from vaginal and other pelvic mucosal atrophy. He did a biopsy and started me on Climara patch .1 mg (no progesterone because I had leg and arm numbness and patchy vision right before Christmas when I was taking it). The biopsy showed almost no normal mucosal cells so he also added the Estring vaginal ring. It was uncomfortable at first, but now I don't feel it at all, even during intercourse. MD said as the vaginal and other mucosa in the abdomen regenerates, the pain would get better so I wouldn't feel the ring. He played down the recurring endo concerns I had and said I was simply estrogen depleted. I was worried to start estrogen alone with my endo history, but so far, so good. ...

Best of all, my pelvic pain is GONE for the first time in 22 months!!!! I can't believe how good I feel. My libido is back. My "fuzzy brain" as my teenagers call it is fading. I am sleeping through the night for the first time in 6 years! The doc said it could take 3 months to get back to my pre-menopausal self (I'm not sure I remember what that was!), but I can't imagine feeling much better than I do now! CAN YOU TELL I'M HAPPY??

Thank you all for posting back to me so often and for "listening" to me and being such a support. You are such a godsend, Sisters!

I'm finally feeling GOOD!

That is such absolutely terrific news!

Especially that it can make the pain go away. We won't celebrate too loudly yet and disturb the gods of the Jungle, but I think we can give you a
award for sure!!!!!

YAY!!

I'm SO happy for you! I had my hyst for the same reasons and am still swinging through the jungle. It just makes me feel like there's hope out there for us endo ladies! I'm currently on premarin tablets (.3mg) because I'm allergic to soy so I can't do the estring or climara. I'm back to the gyn in june and going to ask about yam based estriol. I too have pelvic adhesions and am currently going to massage therapy for it. YAY!! I'm going to do a happy dance for you! <hugs>

YES!!!!!!!!!!!1

Hallelujah Girlfriend. Please don't feel bad telling us you feel good. We are so happy for you. It gives us hope we might find our path out of the jungle, too. I agree with Trish, though. We don't want to alert the gods of the jungle. They might miss you and want you back. Run like h*ll and escape!
